Credit Restoration Tasks & Guidelines

Packet Required Tasks:

Attendance Notice & Policy Letter - Parent/Guardian Signature REQUIRED- needed hours included
Make Up Hours completed & logged
Loss of Credit Appeal Letter submitted in Google Classroom

Attendance Contract:

Student is allowed NO MORE THAN 4 UNEXCUSED ABSENCES during restoration period (9 weeks). At 5 unexcused absences, the contract is VOID.
Must provide Dr. or Parent Note to excuse absences. Only 5 parent notes allowed per semester.

Loss of Credit Letter: (Outline provided)

Type a letter explaining your absences & provide info to our Absence Review Committee on why you believe you should regain credit.
Provide reasons for absences.
Explain why good attendance is needed to be successful.
Provide current grades in each course.
Describe your plan to not lose credit in the future.
REQUIRES student & parent/guardian signature.
Upload to Google Classroom on Google Doc.

Type a letter using Google Doc found in the Google Classroom explaining your absences on why you should regain your credit.

Regular attendance and punctuality are vital attributes for all employees. It is important for employees to attend work regularly and to arrive at work on time, because failure to do so detrimentally affects employee morale and productivity.

Why is good attendance needed to be successful?

Plan for the future.

Must include your current grades in your classes.

Give the Absence Review Committee 3-5 steps your will take in order to not have struggles with attendance in the future.

LETTER MUST INCLUDE PARENT/GUARDIAN SIGNATURE- They must be aware of your plan.

The Code & form requires staff to sign in from an Alvin ISD account.
Log sheet form is available in the Google Classroom. Any falsified hours will automatically end the credit restoration period for the student.
